Patch 1.09

Hello Everyone this is my first patch onto itch.io . I'm so happy that I have chose this platform to work on developing and adding dev logs too. This is my first time ever developing a game and working on it so I'm pleased to find a website that allows me to do just that. Before I ramble about all the devlog stuff. I just wanted to mention that if you haven't already noticed I'm pretty interested in Studio Ghibli to say the least and for as long as I can remember their hasn't been a single game made or released that really captures the cinematic appeal of the game. With that being said and with COVID trapping us all in our homes. I thought "Hey", why not sort of deal. So with that being said let me explain update time frames: I plan on doing updates either weekly or every couple days that way I can add tons of new content for you all.  Currently this is what will have been patched and what I plan on adding into the future with that being said, let me begin.

Patch Notes:

• Added an introduction
  • Gender Choices: Male, Female or Non-Binary
  • Player can also choose name up to eight characters.
• Player now has an introduction area where they meet their neighbors (hint.. hint.. Ponyo & Sosuke)
  • This allows me to delete communal area that was once apart of it, as well as teach the player how to do some simple problem solving and opening the inventory.
• Fixed some grammar issues in dialogue areas.
• Fixed placements of character names within dialogue boxes.
• Added a feature that forces players to talk to both parents in the restaurant scene rather than walking out, right away. 
  • Added this feature to the second restaurant scene aswell.
• Added a new scene that follows after the boat scene.

Future Additions:

• Objectives menu
• Work on better npc movements
• Add a HUD
• Fix volume and add Soundtracks
• Work on more of the movie.
